Passage of Landscape - Residential House

A house for the family of three. Three gate-shaped frames which compose wall, floor and ceiling are layered in tiers for each direction. On the first floor, front room, living room, wood deck and garden form straight line toward the slope of tanada. This floor also connects to the dining room and the reading room on the second floor, through the gap of the frame. In the second floor, the gaps of the frame of the ceiling act as clerestory window for ventilation and lighting. And then, This house will be a passage of landscape. Designed by Masaki Ihara
